Since we are on our last book in the BFIAR curriculum, I was debating between moving on to the FIAR, or ordering Little Hands to Heaven. I decided on LHTH because:
-FIAR is geared toward 4-8 year olds. Although I can scale it to “A's” range at age 3, I feel it would be stretch for “R”, age 2.
-LHTH is a solid Bible centered curriculum. It would be a terrific foundation for both boys.
-There are plenty of gross motor actvities that I think will appeal to my 2 year old.
-LHTH has received solid positive reviews on many objective sites.
I plan on supplementing this with the Charlotte Mason approach site, Ambleside Online, because I want to maintain a literature rich environment in preparation for the Sonlight curriculum next year.
I’m using FIAR with my 6 and 7 year olds. I would use LHTH for a year or so before moving on to FIAR…some of the books are better understood by 5 year olds and up, so I wouldn’t rush. I know my kids wouldn’t have gotten much out of it even if I had used it at 4 years old.
Blessings,

Your blog is so beautiful! I love the new look!
Hi. I saw your name on Haflinger Horses blog and thought I would stop by and say hi. I have visited your webpage before but can’t remember if I commented. I am a Washingtonian too. We have been living in Ellensburg for almost 5 years and absolutely love it. My family (cousins, aunts, and uncles) live in Bellevue and Renton and Port Orchard so we would come visit often when I was growing up. It has always been my desire to live here and praise the Lord we made it! Hope to get a chance to know you through blogging. Antoinette
I just thought I’d pop in for a visit and~ wow~ your blog is absolutely gorgeous! It’s very “Folky”… I just love it! :o)
