Fingerplay
“Adam and the Animals”. This time, I just did the actions and “A told the story.
Bible Story
We read Genesis 3:2-6
We also read “The New Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes”
Focus: Adam and Eve disobeyed
“A” was very intrigued at the idea of God taking a rib from Adam and creating Eve. We palpated our own ribs, then looked up drawings of skeletons that showed ribs.
Dramatic Play
I tied together two belts and created a large “serpent”. The boys took turns jumping forward, backward, and sideways over the wiggling “snake.”
Focus: Adam and Eve should have stayed away from the snake.
Letter Activity
The boys had to find all the “A”'s on the sheet, upper and lower case and color over them. This was unassisted by me. “R” found 8/15 and “A” found 11/15. They also had to draw a line from the upper case “A” to the lower case.
Focus: The boys eventually should be able to recognize the capital and small 'A' in words.
Math Activity
The boys colored a pictue of a tree, cut the tree (with assistance), and glued it onto the 'Number One' page. One tree=One
Bible Activity
I asked the boys how they think God feels when they disobey. 'A' said that God would kick them out of their house. I told him that God would not do that, even though He did do it to Adam and Eve. He then said that God would be 'sad'. I asked him if he thought God would be angry, and 'A' responded, “no, just sad.”.
Music
Listened to the songs, “Two Trees”, and “God's Promise”
P.E/Social
Playdate at a friend's house (1 year old boy)
'A' had his martial arts class today, as well.
