“Clippity Clippity”

Bible Story

Read Genesis 15:3-6

The New Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes

Focus: God's promise to Abraham

Art Activity

The boys took a small piece of paper towel and blotted white paint on a black piece of paper to represent stars in the ngiht sky..  They then colored a piece of white paper and folded this (well I folded them.)  This represents Abraham's tent.

Letter Activity

I took sidewalk chalk and drew two 'c's.  I had the boys take toy cars and move the cars along the letter while saying 'c'.

Bible Activity

We made a “tent” and the boys “dressed” up as Abraham.  They went into the tent and I turned off the lights.  I read to them Genesis 15:3-6 and we acted out Abraham talking to God.  The boys repeated what Abraham said and I had the boys come out of the tent and try to count all the “stars” in the night sky (a dark ceiling had to suffice.)  “A” said he could not count them because there were too many stars!

Music

Played and sang “God Began a Nation”

Other

“A” went to a half day camp today, and “R” went to a playdate for three hours with three other boys, ages 2, 6, and 6.
