The New Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes
Focus: Esau forgave Jacob
Devotional Activity
Read from My ABC Bible Verses
Philippians 2:14, “Do all things without complaining or disputing.”
“A” asked who the Holy Spirit was, so we talked about that and how He helps us know what is right and wrong.
We talked about having a thankful heart over a complaining heart.
I had the boys pretend to complain. They enjoyed that. I also had them tell me what they were thankful for. They focused on material items (stuffed animals, blanket, etc.), I had to do a little prompting for people and abilities…
Letter Activity
I had them trace the letter 'D' on the flashcard. Then, we fingerpainted the letter. “R” is all assisted, “A” is all on his own, except for the two that look like solid “D”'s.
Bible Activity
The boys acted out the story I read to them today. “A” was Esau and “R” was Jacob. “R” pretended to ride a camel and pointed to A/Esau and said, “Look, there's Esau! I wonder if he is still mad at me?”
He goes to A/Esau and says, “I am sorry, please forgive me.”
A/Esau says, “yes, I forgive you”, and hugs R/Jacob.
(Sorry family, but I did not take pictures for this one. Needless to say, it was pretty precious.)

Thanks for sharing your lesson.
Yesterday, was a very BAD day at our house. As I started blogging, I wondered how I was going to describe our activities without sounding negative. After I typed the last sentence, I went to bed (it was 1 in the morning). Today is a new day. All is peaceful and I barely remember how stressed I was yesterday.

I love all this good stuff you are doing! I might have to look into the LHTH for my son.
Love your blog.
