Nature
It was such a gorgeous day today, I decided to take out school outdoors. After a fun morning with a playdate at our house, we went up to Rattlesnake Lake, threw rocks in the lake, then did our lessons. After the lessons, the boys were playing on an uprooted stump, and we ran into a friend and her family. We were able to visit and play with them a little as well. We also found a yellow caterpillar and enjoyed having it crawl up our arms.

“Baby in the Basket”
Bible Story
We read about Moses and Aaron warning the king to set the peopl free. If he didn't, God would turn the water to blood.
Active Exploration
We gathered water in a container to represent the water of Egypt. I had 'A' narrate the story we had just read and turn the water into “blood”. They boys thought this was pretty cool and repeated about three times.
Letter Activity
The boys traced the letter 'F' on a flashcard, with their finger. Both know this letter by sight.
Bible Activity
I asked: “Have you ever gotten into trouble for not listening to you parents?
'A' responded: “No, we get in trouble for other things.”
I asked: “What are some “no-no's” at your house?
'A' responded: “hitting, cats can't scratch us, complain about not wanting to go somewhere”
I asked: “Did the king get into trouble because he did not listen to Moses' and Aaron's warning?
'A' responded: “yes”
We closed in prayer, asking God to help us listen to our parent's and heed a warning the first time, rather than suffer the consequences.
That looks like more of a piece of art than a tree stump, it’s huge! Came by to say hi and see how you’re doing. Maybe you can share how you stay motivated to keep your routine!
