Fingerplay: “David will be king”
Bible Story
1 Samuel 26:7-12
Children's Bible- Story where David save Saul from being killed by David's friend
Devotional Activity
Psalm 34:13 “Keep your tongue from evil.”
We read a story about Missy and her school friend (Sally) meeting a new girl in class. Sally decides to say mean things and act mean toward the new girl. Missy learned from her mother that the Bible says, “Keep your tongue from evil”, and talkeda bout what that meant. Missy talked to Sally the next day, and they were both kind to the new girl.
We repeated this verse five times, and also reviewed:
John 3:16
Mark 16:15
Exodus 20:12
Philippians 4:13
John 14:6
Letter activity
I had 'A' try to write the letter 'K'. He is unable to do a legible 'K' at this time. I had him do dot-to-to 'K' for a while, but he is still unable to write one on his own. Like he says, “maybe when I am four, I can do it…”
Bible Activity
We acted out the Bible story today. We all took turns being David, David's friend, and the sleeping Saul.
I just love your homeschool recaps 🙂
Oh and Anne Of Green Gables is one of my all time favorites, yes we must be kindred spirits! 🙂
Have a blessed one!
I actually have three tattoos (but very few people know about two of them). I have a fairy in my right ankle, she represents inner beauty; a pink butterfly in my lower back, it represents my daughters and granddaughters; and a camouflaged butterfly on my left shoulder, it represents my sons in law and my grandsons. I chose camouflage instead of a blue butterfly because the grandsons are “military brats”. I designed all of them. I doubt I will get any more although I do want to get one of them touched up.

Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving.
Thankful for you,
