"This Little King"
Bible Story
2 Kings 23:1-4
Children’s Bible: The story of King Josiah
Devotional Activity
Matthew 6:24 "No one can serve two masters"
We read a story that accompanied this verse. We talked about who our master, ruler and king is.
We read this verse six times and reviewed:
Mark 16:15
Exodus 20:12
Philippians 4:13
Letter Activity
I placed red yarn on the floor in the ‘N’ shape. The boys had to walk around it without touching it and say the ‘n’ sound.
Bible Activity
The boys had to follow my directions, one at a time:
-draw two circles at the top of the page (to represent Josiah’s eyes)
-draw a square in the middle of the page (I assisted both boys with this; represents the Bible)
-draw a smile at the bottom of the page (represents Josiah telling others to follow God’s Word.)
Music
Played and sang, "Oh, Israel Turn Back to God"
I also introduced to them, the "Star Spangled Banner"
Read Aloud
"Ramona’s Great Day" by Beverly Cleary (in "The World Treasury of Children’s Literature")
P.E.
‘A’ received a DVD of martial arts. Here they are following it:
I just wanted to let you know that I became interested in the "Little Hands to Heaven" curriculum after reading about your activities. My youngest is 3yo and she is ready for a more structured 'school' experience. But with the other 3 girls I didn't know how I could do it!
I ordered it before Christmas and it arrived on Tuesday. I LOVE it! The best part (for me) is that I can just open it up and teach it without alot of prep work from me. Thanks for the inspiration!
Blessings!
Debbie
I see you are back to blogging and having a great time with your boys. That's what it's all about! They sure are having tons of fun.
Looks like another wonderful day! I'm so impressed with all you do with your little ones.
