"Jesus is Alive"
Bible Story
Luke 24:36-42
Mark 16:12-13
Children’s Bible: Two men walked with Jesus, and the disciples saw Jesus
Dramatic Play
I had three toys (a stuffed animal, a pin wheel, and a toy car). I had each boy close their eyes and rubbed a toy on their arm. They had to guess what it was. They took turns doing this to each other. I asked them how they knew what each toy was. They had to describe the toy by touch.
Letter Activity
C1 and A glued the letter ‘Y’; I glues the ‘Y’ for C2 and R. The boys placed cheerios on the ‘Y’
We also did "Hide and Seek Y’". The older two got all of them, the younger two each only missed one!
Bible Activity
We talked about how we can talk to Jesus through prayer and what we can talk to him about (fears, when we are sad/happy, to give thanks, for help, to say we are sorry, etc.). We all took turns praying out loud.
I traced the hand and foot of each boy and they placed a red dot in the middle of each to remind them of what Jesus did for them.
Math
We practiced orally counting 1-20 forward and backward. We practiced addition using our fingers.
Caught on Film
‘A’ is "reading" to ‘C1’ and ‘R’ (C2 was napping). I love it!
I love the Bible lesson and the math. I never thought about counting backwards with J. Is that in your curriculum?
