‘Developing the Early Learner’-
Auditorty/Memory- I gave each boy a set of commands. They had to wait one minute before executing the command:
‘A’-"color the bird blue; color the bone brown- He did this properly
‘R’-color the bird yellow; color the bone red.-He colored the bird correctly, but colored the bone brown, not red.
‘A’-Color the bird red; draw a line over the bone-He did this correctly
‘R’-Draw an ‘x’ on the bird; draw and ‘x’ over the bone-He did this correctly
Comprehension/Sequence-Each boy looked at a set of pictures and had to decide whic item would go on first: ‘A’ did well. ‘R’ had a hard time with this.
Science
BB Book of Science and Nature- We read about the 4th of July:
-AKA ‘Independence Day’
-The USA’s birthday
-there are fireworks

Character
‘365 Manners…’-We read about how to eat bread. If the basket is closest to you, you take the basket, offer bread to the person on your left, take a piece for yourself, and pass it on the right. Place butter and jelly on your plate and break off small pieces of bread. Butter and jelly the small piece before eating. If there is a bread plate, use it; otherwise, place the bread on the left side of the dinner plate.
‘Right Choices’-We read about doing the right thing, even if your friends aren’t.
Math
Singapore Math Earlybird 1A-Lesson 17-We took a vase and filled it with water. The boys had to pour a cup of water from the vase, into a bucket and recorded how many cups it took to empty the vase. We did this a few times.
Social/P.E.
The kids played at the indoor playground today.
