In a large skillet, melt the butter or margarine; brown chicken. Transfer chicken to slow cooker. Add onions and celery to skillet and sauté for about 3 to 4 minutes, until just tender. Add the onions and celery to crockpot, along with carrots, corn kernels, soup, chicken broth and dill to slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low 5 to 6 hours or until chicken is done and vegetables are tender. During the last 10 minutes, stir in the half and half or evaporated milk. Serves 8.

I have been enjoying reading what you have been doing with your Sonlight. We use Sonlight as well and I'm just about to pull out the same books you are using for my daughter. I used them with my son and I am looking forward to using them again.

Mmmmm, these recipes look delicious! I love using my crockpot but often forget to drag it out in the summer, when I should be using it more as it doesn't heat up the house like the oven does!!

Thanks for the recipe's I can't wait to try some of them.
Anything to make the dinner prep go quicker so I can spend more time with my family.
Also, we miss the trees, but have found the way of life much more peaceful over on the eastern side of Wa. I have really enjoyed having four seasons! The sun shines so much here! I didn't realize how gloomy days affected me until I moved here.
