The boys had homeschool soccer today. The weather was glorious. They learned how to dribble, and what a coin toss was.
They also had swim lessons in the afternoon. ‘A’ is turning into a little fish, and ‘R’ is doing very well for his age.

Language Arts
DEL-Auditory/Rhyming-The boys looked at a set of pictures and had to decide whether they rhymed or not. Both boys got all correct.
Comprehension/Language-The boys had to look at a set of three items, then listen to a sentence and decide which item was best fitted in that sentence. ‘A’ got 3/3 and ‘R’ got 2/3 correct.

Science
BB Book of Science and Nature-We continued reading about plants and learned that plants provide wood for us and fibers for clothing. They also take in our CO2 and puts out O2 for us to breathe.
Social Studies
Things People Do-We read about the doctor and how they work in both an office and the hospital. They need to scrub up to get rid of germs for surgery. An anethesiologist provides medication to put you to sleep for the surgery. A radiologist interprets xrays.
Life Skills
365 Manners…We continued reading about proper etiquette at a wedding. Children are to…
- show up on time. This means 20-30 minutes before what it says on the invite.
- sit quietly during the ceremony.
- sit with parents at the reception, unless designated elsewhere.
- go with parents through the buffet line.
- do not complain about food choices.
- say goodbye to the bride and groom before you leave.
Math
Singapore Earlybird 1B Lesson 17 (second half)-Recognition of squares, rectangles, and triangles. The boys did great finding the squares and recangles in a picture, but both struggled with the triangle. (The triangles were in kites, sailboats, etc. and were a little harder to find.)
