COOL CLOUDS

As we were driving home from Puyallup, we saw these cool cloud formations.  Anyone know what they are called and why they came to be that way??

    Gracie just finished a unit on clouds. She thinks they are called cumlious.

    I had a friend respond that they are called lenticular clouds.
