…we are moving to California!  We are heading down to the Sacremento area, particularly an area 40 minutes north, called Roseville.  Although it is hard leaving family, Cascade Covenant, and friends, we are so excited at the new journey the Lord is leading us on.

This move has been a long time coming.  We have been wanting to move to an area with more sun for many years.  Ideally, we wanted to move to Maui, but logistically it would be too hard, so California is a decent compromise.

Assuming we can sell our house, we will be able to get into an excellent home down there.  I have also found some terrific homeschool contacts and resources.  Can’t wait to explore the area with the boys.  It is so rich in gold mining history.

If anyone who reads this is in the Roseville/Sacramento area, let me know.  I’d love to connect with you!

My son just moved to LA. You'll be neighbors – sort of! Have a great trip. We're looking forward to a visit to CA ourselves now that son is there.

I am SO jealous! We lived in Woodland, which is on the other side of Sacramento for 9 of the happiest years of my life! Oh, how I miss the Sacramento area! You are going to love it!!! There is an amazing amount of things to do, it's such a FUN place to homeschool. If you visit my blog you will find posts about the Sacramento Zoo, Fairy Tale Town and The California Train Museum on my side bar under Fabulous Field Trips. Oh, and the Jelly Belly Factory!

If you need any info on the area let me know. My friends are all in the Woodland area, but I know there are lot's of homeschoolers in Roseville. (My dh use to work there!) There is a lovely waterpark in Roseville too and a great mall with a cute little outdoor playland.

Yay for you! I am living vicariously! LOL
