For the past few years, we have enjoyed visiting Grandma Margaret and Grandpa Randy at their home in Sagle, Idaho. This year, we were fortunate to have Antee Sara with us for a few days as well.
Antee Sara pretending to roll ‘R’ up in a sleeping bag…
silly boys…
Antee Sara getting ready to snowshoe!
The boys got snowshoes for Christmas from grandma and grandpa. They leave tracks that look like paw prints of some sort. The kids had a great time snowshoeing on their five acre property. There was about 4 feet of snow. We were here for six days and it snowed for the majority of the time.
We played a bunch of "Uno Spin", and "Old Maid".
David and Grandpa entertained us with guitar…
Hot cocoa and homemade biscotti. MMMMMM….
This is Grandma and Grandpa’s newest addition to the family, a six month black standard poodle named Luke. He takes his job seriously was the washer pre-washer…
The boys enjoyed playing Grandma’s piano. They also received recorders for Christmas and an instruction book. She gave me her recorder and we were able to get a couple of lessons in. The boys can now play a mean "B"…
One day was beautiful and clear. We took the advantage had had a nice, long showshoe trek, all on their property!
A rare shot of us…
Self portrait…
Wild turkey prints. Or, as David says, "this way to the turkey sandwiches!"
Snow Eater becomes Icicle Eater…
‘A’ helped Grandma make a special treat: They stuffed dates with walnuts and rolled them in powedered sugar!
We bought the boys a puzzle. Here is their handiwork…
No pictures, but I also crocheted myself a pretty, green scarf.
We all read alot to the boys, and also enjoyed watching episodes form the old "Nancy Drew" series from the 70’s. We saw a few other movies as well.
Work hard. Play hard. Sleep well.
This is a little video I caught of the boys making up a "toasted cheese sandwich" dance. I was a little late getting in filmed, but this little part is still pretty cute.
Happy New Year!
