‘R’ turned six!! I can’t believe it!! Sigh.
We started the day with him running into our room and declaring he is six. Then, we went to church and brought cupcakes for his homeschool class. They were having an Easter party that day, so it was a festive environment with fun activities and treats…
After spending the afternoon playing in the church courtyard/playground, we took a few of ‘R’s closest friends out for gelato…
Getting my girl fix…
The gelato shop is located in a nice outdoor mall called "The Fountains". ‘A’ was excited to hear the fountain playing James Bond music…
We moved to a different part of the mall where they had a fire pit. It was a cool day and this was a nice area to blow bubbles and visit…
‘R’s special day ended with dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen, then watching a Star Wars video and building Lego kits (received as gifts) at home. My friend, Christie, made ‘R’ a movie kit, with homemade kettle corn in custom made old fashioned paper popcorn holders and some candy! The boys plowed through the gift that night. THEY LOVED IT!
‘R’ is still working the adrenaline off a few days after his birthday…
What a great birthday celebration!
My baby is turning nine in just a few days, so I share your feelings!
My boys would have loved your lego building party.

Happy Birthday ~ I think that sounds like the best birthday ever.
