Grandma Margaret was able to join us in serving those who live along the Sacramento river. Since the shelter burned down in July, we have been doing BBQs at the Broderick docks.
One of the men we served, went to the store and bought a Nerf football to play with the kids. It was sweet to witness such simple joy.
