Our WA/ID road trip continues…on to Lake Chelan!
The long drive from Sandpoint to Chelan afforded us an opportunity to take a break at the Grand Coulee Dam…
The weather was mild at Lake Chelan. Typically by this time in July, all the hills are brown and the lake is warm. This year, the only ones that braved the water were the bodies under the age of 21!
My precious nieces were insane! No matter how much they were tossed and thrown about, they never fell out! The first shot is during a slower ride with ‘A’ in the middle…
I love this shot because it has my aunt and uncle’s house in the background…
Every year, our family on my mom’s side hosts a costume theme party for the 4th of July. The theme is based on a state and my aunt creates an amazing menu based on the state as well. This year: FLORIDA!
My lovely cousins, Jenna and Katy…
Time for the costumes! My uncle ‘Gator’, and aunt ‘Sunshine State’…
My brother, the Sunkist orange tree, and my aunt…
My niece, ‘P’ was a UCA Cheerleader. Their headquarters are in Florida.
Katy was the sun, and my niece, ‘KK’, a palm tree….
And the award for the most creative costume is my mom as THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH! She taped her face to look like a face lift and covered her outfit with models and marketing slogans promising youth. She carried two squirt guns…
My cousin, Jenna and in utero ‘R’ as an orange, little man ‘H’ as a golfer, and his dad, Charles, his caddy…
Katy and me. I was a flamingo…
‘R’, a NASA astronaut, and ‘A’ was supposed to be a NASCAR racer. He fell in love with this ‘Speed Racer’ costume. We figured ‘Speed; had driven through Florida at least once…
‘R’, ‘A’, and pirate Daddy!
The pirate and the flamingo!
Uncle Dev showing the boys how to use their very own pocketknives. I think we went through three bandaids for ‘R’ over the next 48 hours…
