My husband serves as the Worship leader for an incredible ministry called ‘Celebrate Recovery’. It’s a Christian recovery program that helps walk you through whatever you need recovery from. This could be alcohol, drugs,
co-dependent behavior, se*ual integrity, etc. Pretty much everyone has something that is keeping them in bondage. This program strives to help you break those chains.
The movie ‘Home Run’ touches on Celebrate Recovery a little bit. It actually made the big screen and ran in our local theater for five weeks! This is huge because rarely does a Christian film make the big screen, let alone last a while!
We took the boys to see it and were impressed with the whole production. It is an excellent movie,
On behalf of Celebrate Recovery, our church hosted a free movie night to anyone who wanted to attend. Our family handed out raffle tickets for prizes that were to be given away at the end of the movie. It was a terrific turnout, around 500 people. We were so grateful to be able to serve together as a family.
Jesus said in John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
This is a promise that is for everyone. Not just the well balanced, have-it-all-together people. His promise of a full life is for EVERYONE!
