Our run club hosted the aid station at mile 21 for the California International Marathon. It was the most perfect weather for a race. Cool and sunny/slightly overcast.
Filling garbage cans full of electrolyte drinks..
.
Mallory and I made the electrolyte drink, then I moved on to picking up the used cups.
This woman is amazing. She came through our aid station and told me a little bit about herself. Her name is Lien James. Here’s a little inspiration for you… She started running at 50. She is now 65. This is her 112th marathon! Yes, 112….
A few of my wonderful sole sisters coming through the aid station. The two with the yellow bibs (Lindsay and Missy) were running the relay. The two in the middle (Mindy and Michelle) ran the whole thing.
A few more of my run buddies, Janice and Hassan. This is Janice’s 69th marathon!
Another huge inspiration of mine. Helen is an ultra runner. She runs 50 and 100 mile trail races. Here she is running CIM while in her second, maybe even third trimester!
