My first 30K! A unique route that was consisted of a repeating 1K loop in a commercial park. due to the severe weather our area endured, the original route was damaged.
It was a bit boring, BUT there was the benefit of always knowing the ports potties and fuel/hydration was super close, AND our cars were parked along the loop, so everything you might need was at your fingertips.
Also, with other friends running the 30 and 50K, we always knew we’d see each other at some point.
This is my friend Janice. I am a big fan of hers and keep her as my inspiration. She has ran a marathon in all 50 states and is around marathon #74 now, I think. Her goal is to reach 100 marathons and do one a month this year!
Getting ready to run!
This is Alan. I met him on the bus for the Run Rocklin Half. He ran with us for a while before moving ahead. It was fun seeing him again for this one. I think he ran the 50K. He is such a staple in our local running community.
Me and my two sole sisters, Teresa and Daleana. They ran their first 50K!
A finish line celebratory hug as Daleana completed her 50K!
Showing off our medals. This race does not offer medal, but we wanted some bling to mark this milestone, so we had custom medals made!
