COVID has made us have to figure out how to socialize in creative ways. Currently, groups are not allowed to gather. If you have to go out, you should wear a mask and keep six feet apart from each other. Our family has followed the guidelines since before California went on lock down, mid-May.
For my birthday, my girlfriends Shanti, Tina, and Eun met with me at a viewpoint to watch the sun set. We sat outside and sat six feet a part from each other. Eun brought me flowers from her garden. Tina made me an amazing loaf of sourdough walnut bread.
Then, later, my friend Elyse hosted an online Zoom party that included everyone doing facials on themselves, using charcoal colored masks! (I have a photo, but am not posting it LOL!) There were about 15 of us and everyone took turns sharing words of affirmation to me, then they mailed those cards to me. It was a special, sweet moment, creating a precious memory.
