Oh, I am going to hate it when the weather turns!  I love watching the boys play outside together!

Fingerplay

“One Dusty Camel”

We looked up pictures of camels.

Bible Story

Read Genesis 24:1-7, 61-67

The New Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes

Focus: Isaac meets Rebekah

Active Exploration

We took turns shaking hands and itroducing each other properly.  Then we asked polite questions to stimulate conversation, such as,

“What foods do you like?” The boys answered “macaroni and cheese, and pizza”

I said “seafood”, which sparked a conversation on what is seafood exactly.

“What do you like to play?” The boys answered, “Playing Superman and Batman, and cars”.  I said “tennis, and arts and crafts, and playing with my boys”.

We then took turns being the host and the guest and giving tours of our home.

Focus: Isaac and Rebekah needed to get to know each other.

Letter Activity

Reviewed the letters, “A, B, C”.  “A” knows all well.  “R” knows 'A', sometimes 'B', but can never say 'C' when asked.   I then introduced the flashcard for 'D'.  “A” knows it, but 'R' does not.

Math Activity

The boys created page four of their counting book.  They glued four women (in honor of Sarah and Rebekah) on the page.  'A' actually cut, pasted, and placed the items without any assistance!  I cut and glued for “R”; he placed.

Art

Played with sidewalk chalk outside.
