Fingerplay: “Nothing is impossible for God.”
Bible Story: Judges 16:17-19, 21-22, 28-30
Children's Bible: The story where Samson get his hair cut and loses his strength.
But God gave it back.
Dramatic Play: The kids built two pillars of blocks and stood between them, like Samson. Then, they too rolled sock and threw them at the pillars to knock them down. Each boy took turns building and knocking down.
Letter Activity: I drew the letter 'I' on a piece of paper, and glued over it. The boys placed cereal o's on the letter for create an 'I'.
Bible Activity:
We talked about hos God gave Samson the gift and talent of strength. I asked what kind of talents did God give each boy? 'A' responded: watching TV, and playing video games, and playing on my IMac. 'R' said: playing cars. 'O' said: Kitty cats.
(Hmmm, I think we need to work on this one a bit…)
Math Activity: 'Count on Me' worksheet. 'A' made 1-5 circled in each box. 'R' did one circle in each box.
Music: Sang and played “They were Judges”
Read Aloud: Along with the other books we are currently reading, (Goldilocks, The Gingerbread Man, The Little Red Hen, The Childrens Garden of verses), we just introduced 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'.
