Hi everyone!
After five days of no electricity, (we ran a generator, so we had heat, the fridge, and a couple of lights0, DH said ‘enough’ and booked us into a hotel. We spent two nights at the Westin, then got a call from our neighbor that the electricity was back. We have decided to enjoy one more night in the hotel and all its amenities before heading home. I hope to get back to our regular routine next week.
Thanks for your prayers and well wishes. We really appreciate it!
I was just stopping by to send you Merry Christmas blessings!
I am sorry to hear that you were so affected by the storm but it sounds like you made the best of it and enjoyed some quality family time at the hotel.
God Bless and Christmas wishes!

I've been thinking about you, wondering. I'm so glad to hear that your power is back on! Did the boys like camping out at the hotel?
I wish you and you family the happiest Christmas!

So happy to hear that things are on it's way to getting back to normal. 🙂 I live in Florida and am used to not having electricity during hurricane season- NO FUN at all, especially when it's 90 in the house.
I"m sure the boys enjoyed their adventure.
Yuck, you lost power too.
I love the new avatar.
I'm grateful for your friendship in 2006.
Wishing you a blessed and Merry Christmas,
linda
LOL about spending one more night at the hotel.
Have a blessed Christmas. Blogger Friend School Classmate.
Just popping in to wish you a VERY merry Christmas!!
I hope you are back to normal now! Your tree is gorgeous! Merry Christmas!!!!
I'm glad to hear your power is back on. The hotel sounded fun. What a storm that was! Our power was only off 15 hours but we had a lot of damage in our yard some of which we will have to fix in warmer weather. Our generator traveled from home to home as power came on and was a welcome blessing to folks south of us.
Our home schooling pastor and his family were carbon monoxide poisoned and 7 of the 11 of them needed medical treatment! It was a God thing the fainting Mom realized what was happening and crawled to open windows. All due to a lantern.
I'm stopping in on Washington State HSN Blog friends and saying MERRY CHRISTMAS and in your case WITH LIGHTS but most of all
THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD!!

My goodness…what an adventure you've all had! May you and your precious family have a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year! Looking forward to more visits in 2007~
Merry Christmas my dear friend….I hope you have a wonderful New Year as well!
Thank you for the Christmas wishes … I'm sure you'll be glad to be back in your own home (although there are good things about hotels like someone else gets to clean up daily – LOL!)
Love,
Kris
Leigh – Stacy at AussieInAmerica suggested Bloglines, and it is working really well for me – took about an hour to get everything set up and working, and I have a few more friends to add. The plus to it is that you can add blogs from HSB that have their RSS feeds turned on, and you can add blogs from blogger and other places that you want to check up on (Jess from TriviumAcademy and LindaFay of HigherUpAndFurtherIn both moved their incredibly useful blogs over there – those are two I like – plus I can now easily check up on my husband's blogs). So, grab an hour and go set up an account at bloglines.com (like grabbing an hour is easy 🙂 … )
And thought not having hot water was bad! I would be in a hotel also (If we could afford it! LOL) Enjoy those amenities!

Well, I'm glad some good came out of your problem…a mini-vacation! I hope you have a great New Year! I'm glad you liked my daughter's picture. She sure is a handful, though, LOL!
