Math Activity
I set out two plastic plates; one had a bunch of cheese crackers on them. I asked each boy, one at a time, to place a certain number of crackers on the other plate. I went up to 16 for ‘C1’, 13 for ‘A’, 8 for ‘R’, and 5 for ‘C2’. I also wrote a number on a card and had ‘C1 and A’ place the correct number of crackers on the plate.
Letter Activity
We reviewed all the flashcards from A-P. I would show the boys a flashcard and all who knew it raised their hand. I picked a boy to answer and if it was correct, he got a cracker. I then asked, “what word starts with the letter ___?” A correct answer also got a cracker.
I then quizzed each boy individually.
Craft
We made a “hug” for DH. I measured yarn from outstretched hands to represent a hug.
