Well, ‘R’ is finally recovering! We cancelled a playdate and a dentist appointment, but later in the afternoon did a grocery run and went to the park.
Fingerplay
"What do you know?"
Bible Story
Matthew 27:57-60, 28:1-10
Children’s Bible: Jesus died on the cross, was buried, in a tomb, and an angel appeared to say he is not there.
Art
On a black piece of paper the boys made three crosses on a hill with white chalk. ‘R’ added a sad face in the corner, because he felt sad.
Bible Activity
We talked about what it would be like to take the punishment for someone else.
I also asked questions about the crucifiction and resurrection.
Lastly, I had each boy follow my directions: On the top of the page, color a brown circle (represents the tomb), on the left side of the page, color a yellow spot (represents the angel), on the right side of the page, make a smiley face(represents the happy women at the tomb.)
Math
I placed 10 sponge animals in a container. The boys removed them one by one and counted. Then, they counted backwards from 10 to 1.
Devotional activity
We reviewed four verses.
Letter Activity
‘R’ found ‘V’, and ‘A’ found ‘W’:
Reading
‘A’ read the Bob Book, Volume 1, Book 8 "Muff and Ruff"
I love all of the wonderful pictures you post of your boys… It is so much fun for me to see other little ones so engaged in learning!
It looks like you had a blast at the fair. I love going to the California State fair every summer. It's something our whole family looks forward to.
So, you take an annual trip to Hawaii every January. Hawaii is our most favorite place. We are planning to go next January to Maui. To which island do you usually go?
Anywho, thanks for stopping by… It's always fun to meet new friends and I've enjoyed getting to know you a bit! I'm sure I'll be by again soon.
Blessings to you and your family!
