When I was 12, it was 1980. Ronald Reagan was elected President of the United States. The Shah of Iran died. John Lennon was killed. The U.S. boycotted the Summer Olympics in Moscow. Fame won ‘Best Original Song’. I loved to listen to Heart and pretended to be Nancy Wilson. I watched ‘The Love Boat’ and ‘Three’s Company’. Mt. St. Helens erupted and there was a fine layer of ash everywhere. I remember making designs with it on leaves. I was in 6th grade. My teacher was Mrs. Hoppman. She was my all time favorite teacher. My best friend was Kim Taylor.
Oh, what a fun idea. When I was 12 Reagan was president to, but it was 1986. And my 6th grade teacher was one of my favorites as well. Funny, I think I just had a dream with her in it.
About reading Ted Dekker. It's not that I don't like him. I thought it was a pretty good story but it was driving me crazy not knowing how it ended and I peeked at the end. I was more disappointed with myself for peeking than his writing. I guess I didn't make that clear. LOL
