Lesson 6/15/07

Bible
‘Children’s Everyday Bible’-Moses and the burning bush

Memory Verse
"Tell your neighbor the truth because we belong to each other." Ephesians 4:25

Read Aloud
We did a ton of read alouds today.  It was just that kind of day…
Mother Goose-"The Girl in the Lane"
Caps for Sale
Little Peewee
Little Quack’s Bedtime
Time for Friends
Kittlen’s First full Moon
Did I Ever Tell you how Lucky You Are?

Language Arts
‘Developing the Early Learner’- I took four pieces of paper and drew a circle, diamond, rectangle, and triangle on each.  I had the boys look at the pieces of paper, close their eyes, and removed one shape.  Each boy had to take turns and tell me which shape I removed.  Both did excellent.

Social Studies
We read about the school jobs in ‘Things People Do’

Character
‘365 Manners’-We read that appetizers are also called hors d’oeuvres and canapes.  We are to only take one or two and that’s it.  Take a napkin too.  If you take something off of a tray, hold it on your napkin for a few seconds before eating it; don’t just pop it in your mouth from the tray.  An appetizer is meant to stimulate the digestive juices, but not satisfy it.

‘Right Choices’-We read about sharing our food and toys to those who do not have any.

Reading
‘A’ read from the reading primer-a page from ‘The Gingerbread Boy’

Social
My friend, Hope, came over with her two kids for a playdate.  ‘J’, boy age 4, and ‘K’, girl age 2?
