Language Arts
Developing the Early Learner- ‘A’ looked at a set of pictures and had to choose which ones were identical. He got all correct. He actually said one was not identical and I initially thought it was. But, at closer glance, one pair of scissors had oval handles and the other had round ones.
‘A’ also had to draw along four different paths without touching the edges. He was able to do all, except one small spot hit an edge.
Science
BB Book of Science and Nature-We read that there is all sorts of things in nature: animals, plants, volcanoes, earthquakes, people, the earth, soil, oil, etc.
Character
Right Choices-We read about the importance of forgiveness
Life Skills
365 Manners…We read that when eating, it is important to remember:
- the food is accepted from the left and passed to the right
- take a modest portion
- eat slowly
- chew with your mouth closed
Math
Singapore Earlybird 1B-Lesson 9: ‘A’ had to look at two different scenarios and tell a story about them.
He also had to count items and write them down. He struggled with counting 10 bottles that were jumbled together.
