The right way: "I am having a sleep over Friday night. We will have pizza and paly games. Can you come?"- This make sit easy for soemone to respond yes or no.
The wrong way: "Are you busy Friday night?" or "Do you have any plans tomorrow?"-Too blunt and vague.
