We drove to Sagle, Idaho (near Sandpoint) to visit Grandma Margaret and Grandpa Randy for a weekend.  It takes about six hours, and the boys were wonderful passengers.

We visited a place called ‘Wolf People’ in Cocolalla, Idaho.  They have a pack of wolves that stay in a compund near their store.  They bring a few at a time to the store so people can see the wolves up close.  Here is one of the adults and some of the cubs.

Here are the boy dipping their feet in Lake Cocolalla.  The boys preferred to call it ‘Lake Apple Juice’ because that’s what it looked like to them…

Back at Grandma and Grandpa’s house…
I asked ‘A’ to get his shoes.  He comes back after a few seconds and said he was afraid of a bug on the door and could I come and help him.  I went to the screen door, and saw this:
Just as I was about to tell ‘A’ not to be afraid, we hear a big buzzing sound by the window (very close to ‘A’).  ‘A’ lets out a huge scream and goes running back to the part of the house where DH and Grandma were.  I looked and saw THE BIGGEST DRAGONFLY EVER!!!

I managed to get ‘A’ back into the room and help me move the dragonfly outside.  We (the adults) tried not to laugh because ‘A’ was so traumatized, but it was pretty funny.  He is such a "city boy".

Shucking corn grom Grandpa’s garden…

A shot of their five acres…

The boys, with the produce they picked from the garden…(Did you know that cucumbers actually have little ‘spiny whiskers’ that you wipe off?)

A lovely salmon dinner on the deck…

Grandpa playing the white wolf!

One of the major highlights for the boys was getting to ride on Grandpa’s tractor!

‘A’ said:  "Look, mom, now I am a real tractor driver!"
