We attended Friday morning Bible study. The boys went into their classes and I went into mine. My friend, Kristin, and I got to speak to the women about MOPS before breaking up into our small groups. My group has about 15 women. I am facilitating the group and we are reading "No Perfect People Allowed". I hope to get some notes regarding this book on the blog soon.
After this, we had our little friends T (age 4), and E (age 1.5) (Sundy’s kids), visit for the afternoon. I also had another friend’s children over (‘A’,boy age 5, and twin girls ‘E and E’, age 3). Count that…SEVEN kids!! They joined us for school today.
Bible
We read that King Saul died in battle and David became king.
Memory Verse
Exodus 20:16 "You must not tell lies."
We talked about what a lie was and the kids thought up different scenarios.
Language Arts
DEL-Motor Skills-The kids had to pick a pattern and trace it with their fingers.
First Thousand Words-We talked about colors in english and spanish
Social Studies
The kids wanted to read about the Fireman again, so we did that.
Science
While we were reading, a hailstorm began. We watched the hailstorm, then looked up hailstones online to see how big they can get. There was also lightning and thunder, so we talked about how to figure out how far/close the lightning was.
Games
We played Musical Chairs and Simon Says.
My mom joined us for dinner. DH served at ‘Rest Stop’. (This is a ministry that our church provides for the community. We create a safe place for children with special needs, and their siblings, to play, while their parents have ‘date night.’)
