Dado, Dada, and Great Aunt Elvira came up for dinner and to decorate our home for Christmas, (actually, they thought they were just coming up for dinner, but we had more in mind!!) We had a great time decorating our tree and going through all the special items reserved for this season.
Elvira brought gifts got us. She gave me the pretty yellow scarf I am wearing. She gave DH a framed piccture of him dressed in a poncho and hat (it is soo cute!), and she gave the boys each a Hot Wheel type car and two clip on cows. They loved they cars and were fascinated with the cows once they realized they clip to things. Here is Dada dancing with the cows…
‘A’ putting the cow on Dado’s nose…
Dado and Dada brought up a couple of books for the boys. Here is Elvira reading to them..
Decorating the Tree…
We put this nativity scene up for the first time. This was my grandparents and it was passed on to us. I love having it. This means so much. I pray it will survive our family, though. One sheep disappeared for a few days and resurfaced under a cushion. The shepherd was knocked off and broke in two. Fortunately, I had superglue and it looks perfect. The boys keep taking down the angel andlaying him on the table, "to give him a rest."
