Our church, Bayside, hosts a huge vacation Bible school called ‘Breakaway’. This year, they transformed the grounds to look like an old western pioneer town, including a field full of inflatable bouncy toys (a highlight for ‘A’). ‘R’ felt a little shortchanged because he was in a younger class that stayed inside for most of the time. Oh well, next year, buddy.

Here is the courtyard with tents that were the older kids classrooms…
The entrance to the sanctuary was turned into a "mine shaft"…

Breakaway had the kids collect a sock full of coins to help kids in Nigeria and Cambodia. The morning and evening sessions raised a total of $19,000!
The kids loved it an look forward to next year.
