Today, we were talking about our amazing bodies and all the systems, and within the systems, organs, and within the organs, cells…
I had asked the boys what they like about their bodies and they both responded that they liked that they could run and use their muscles and that they had teeth to be able to eat.
When I asked them if there was anything they did not like about their bodies, my mind went immediately to the superficial. I love ‘A’s response:
"I don’t like that I have to feel hunger sometimes. That’s an awful feeling. I also don’t like when my body feels too hot or too cold."
It sparked a good conversation about those who do not have enough to eat or a place to call home.
