I have two friends that keep bees. Toni and Steve invited us to watch them harvest the honey! (This was back in late September for those tracking this blog).
Steve took combs from two of the four layers. He takes half for him and leaves half for the hive.
You can see the smoke that he squirts around the hive to calm the bees…
