Every year on Maui, we spend an evening with our friends, Cowboy and Carol.  This year, we decided to visit the popular restaurant, Star Noodle.  As a fan of the show, ‘Top Chef’, I wanted to visit this place because the executive chef had placed third this last season.

I love that the restaurant is located back up the hill from Lahaina, instead of on Front St.  It made for easier parking, and just seemed a little more special to “go our of our way” to eat.

The dishes are all served family style and meant to share.  Everything was delicious and complemented each other.

The Vietnamese Crepe: w/Shrimp, Pork, Bean Sprouts  .  Broken up and eaten in a lettuce wrap.

Steamed Pork Buns – Pressed Pork, Hoisin, Shiitake, Cucumber.  It think these were my favorite.  (I ate vegan most of the trip.  This was one of the exception meals. :))
