Drove my little Mini to S.F. with some of my good friends. We have a tradition where we get out of town once or twice a year.
We arrived at 8:30am and planned at eating at a restaurant that gets rave reviews. After standing in line for 50 minutes and had only moved 10 feet, with what would probably be at least another hour, we decided to find something else. We walked a couple blocks to another place called ‘Bottle Cap’. We had a wonderful breakfast, with only a few others in the restaurant. Totally content with everything. so glad we decided to get out of the other line.
Next stop- Coit Tower. When we got there, though, we discovered that it was closed until Spring of 2014.
Next stop, a park on the corner of Seward and Douglass. They have a cement slide that you can slide down on cardboard. Way fun and FAST!
Next stop: Twin Peaks. Incredible views of the city…
Next stop: Conservatory of flowers in Golden Gate Park. This greenhouse dates back to the late 1800’s. Includes a butterfly garden. lovely.
Next stop: Shopping Haight-Ashbury.
Last stop: Pizza in Milly Valley at Pizza Antica. Affogato for dessert. Yum!
