I had not planned on making this, but it was the first thought in my mind upon awakening on Christmas Eve morning.  It is a Christmas Tree bread that David’s mom always makes for Christmas.  The recipe makes two trees and was perfect for our morning meal, and subsequent snacking…

Uncle Paul and Shannon gave them covered ski masks.  They are having fun with those off the slopes…Grandma Margaret and Grandpa Randy got them a couple of dragon puppets to add to their collection…

Presents are done.  Time for breakfast!  An overnight breakfast casserole, Christmas bread, mimosas, and mandarin oranges were on the menu.

Dado, Paul, Shannon, and I went for a long walk along the Miner’s Ravine trail.  We walked about four miles!  Here is a spot along the trail that shows a grinding rock where the native american’s would grind the acorns to flour…

Home for dinner…chateaubriand, and roasted veggies, parmesan green beans….

We spent the next few days enjoying each other’s company, and we all saw The Hobbit it 3D!  It was a wonderful, relaxing time together…
