Can You Believe This?

Lovely Spring bouquet, right? Can you believe that this is actually a cake and everything but the pinwheel is edible??  Our friend Chris Newsom is an EMT by night and homeschool Dad/baker extraordinaire by day.  The “clay pot” is fondant, then a chocolate cake topped with crushed chocolate cookies, pansies, and fresh mint.

Beginner Sewing Class at Meissner

I began a new class at Meissner Sewing Center in Rocklin.  There are only three women in the class, which is terrific!  Our first project was making a pillow case.  I love how we did it.  The finished product looks so much nicer than I expected.
