One my BFF’s Heidi and I try to getaway for a girls trip, ideally once a year. McMenamin’s in Kalama with halfway between the two of us. It was a great little break for both of us.

David and I ran up to Astoria to explore a little and have lunch. Tourist season is in full force and we could not find a place that did not have a long line. So we headed out and stopped at Ecola Park instead.

I got an early morning walk in before the rest of the town got up and picked up coffee at the place where I am working for the summer, Manzanita Coffee. Later that evening, David and I made a fire and watched the private fireworks all along the beach!

North Bend friend and her mom came to Manzanita for a few nights. We did a full day of Short Sands, Hug Point, and Cannon Beach. It was fun to catch up and we were gifted with perfect weather. Marilyn treated us to a lovely lunch at Mo’s in Cannon Beach!
