A little fun with both of them!!

(Similar text ) Alex and Ryan are graduating high school this year. They have both worked hard and nailed their courses. I am so proud of them. When it was time to have their photos taken, I thought it would be fun to go into Sacramento and take urban shots along with some of the murals. Sacramento is full of beautiful murals. We went early Sunday morning while it was still cool, and no traffic. We had the city to ourselves until about noon.

It was so hard to pick photos for the boys’ graduation announcements. They turned out great and we had so much fun! I love seeing the outfits they chose that represent who they are. Alex is all about varying shades of gray scale. Classic. Sophisticated. Here are a few of the shots for Alex…

Carson Clan 2021

Spring Break sans TJ, due to college. But we had a good time celebrating Easter together, recording and videotaping a song…

Tim and Josiah sang. David mixed the sound, and Alex did the video!

Tim and Josiah bought us a sushi kit and picked up some amazing fish for us to make our own sushi!

Ryan’s 17th

His second birthday under Covid….well, we still managed to make it a good one…

I purchased 17 balloons and had Alex place them in his room while asleep. This is what he woke to…

The annual traditional “whatever you want for breakfast”…suprisingly “normal” this year. Steak and eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast. He also wanted a watermelon flavoured beverage. I had a little fun with that…

Alex sent Ryan on a scavenger hunt. The prize at the end of the hunt was the t-shirt Ryan is wearing…

Later in the day, Ryan’s friend, Zach, came over for an afternoon/evening of snacks, video games, and dinner delivered from the Cheesecake Factory!

Ryan’s Uncle Charlie made him a custom piece of art!

Short Sands

Fabio and Esperanza joined us over a long Valentine’s weekend! IT rained a lot, but we kept ourselves occupied with puzzles, and movies. We were able to get out on a few long walks when the weather cooperated…

Baby L!

We have not been able to meet the little guy (our nephew) in person yet, but enjoy seeing the regular photos and occasional FaceTime visits. His dad, Charlie, made a really neat plastic 3D engraving based on a photo of L. On it’s own, it’s OK, but holding it up to the light….it’s amazing…

Floral Centerpiece

This is a collage of our lovely centrepiece we had gracing our table around Valentine’s Day…

Family Fun

David and Ryan drove back to CA to tend to some house stuff and stayed 10 days. Alex and I stayed in OR. We all enjoyed the little shift up in routine, but looked forward to reuniting after 10 days.

Alex and I bought some oysters from the store and Alex shucked them. They weren’t that great so we ended up tossing the remainder, unfortunately.
