Pumpkin Carving 2020

APPLE HILL 2020

Dado dropped Esperanza off at the airport for her trip to Colombia to visit her sister, and headed down to us to spend the weekend! He helped us finish a puzzle we had started, walked the beach, and enjoyed our time together.

One of my BFFs (Tina) from CA was nearby as well. Her husband was visiting his mother and she had a full free day to spend with me.

I picked her up in Cannon Beach, then we walked both Hug Point and Short Sands. Shopped Sesame and Lilies. Drove down to Tillamook and shopped their Goodwill. We both found a few items.

David made us a yummy lunch and Jay joined us. Time was too soon for them to have to leave for the airport.

MmmmmmCrabbbbb

Someday, maybe, Alex will read this and his jaw will drop because he will learn that I went and got crab by myself without him. I asked if he wanted to join me to go to some thrift shops nearby. Typically, if the boys join me on a little excursion, a treat typically follows. Today, I decided to treat myself to crab…

The boys and I walked the main strip of Seaside, and stopped for some ice cream at Zingers.

L3 Girls Weekend!

My precious friends Liann and Lacey and I get together once a year for a girls weekend. We go to a different location each year. Last year was Ashland, Oregon. We enjoyed Ashland so much, we decided to do it again this year.

However, Covid kiboshed that plan. They did not want to fly down. Then, a fire destroyed the towns nearby and the resources of Ashland were taxed during that time.

I threw out the idea of them visiting our new place and they they took me up on it! They came bearing housewarming gifts! A reminder to remember my roots! The photo is of Mt. Si in North Bend. Such a sweet and unique gift! They also arrived with a cherry pie with crumble topping from a pie shop nearby. I had to text David to tell him because it is his favorite!

We enjoyed the pie and got caught up a bit.

REUNITED!

Then it was time to walk the beach!

After dinner, we took wine and chocolate to the beach and watched a magnificent sunset…

Walked Hug Point, then went to Seaside to buy some chairs we had our eye one. Lunch at The Sea for a yummy crab lunch! I wish I could post a photo of us there, but the file is corrupted and won’t upload.

About 10-11 years ago, the three of us got matching tattoos. Lacey brought a tattoo pen for fun and we got a little creative! They actually did look kind of real.

Pizza and wine and sunset on the beach…ENCORE!!

Matching socks!

Where were the fellas you might ask? David took them to Portland for the weekend. They had a great time exploring around…

The weekend was bliss and went by too fast. Breakfast at the wonderful Yolk restaurant and they were on their way….
