Santa Comes to Town!

Thanksgiving 2019

ROCK ON PUP!

Our annual get together. We love this. We cherish this. We protect this time. A tradition that started about nine years ago. Gathering for a full day together around Christmas. This year, due to busy schedules, we had to gather a little earlier. No problem.

First stop. Meet at Shanti’s…Eun gave us her gift first thing. Snuggly bears to hug. We all needed bears to snuggle this past year.

Next stop, breakfast at Kim’s Country Kitchen in Lincoln. We exchanged gifts and fortified ourselves for the big day ahead.

Next stop, the Coffee Harvest Festival at SF Bay Coffee…

Next stop, the Mountain Mandarin Festival, in Auburn…I did not take any pictures here, but we had a nice time. Picked up some artisan Christmas gifts here.

Dinner at Monkey Cat. Then back to Shanti’s to watch three episodes of “Modern Love” on Netflix.

I love these precious women. Grateful for their love and friendship.

Our boys follow these two guys named Rhett and Link on a YouTube show called “Good Mythical Morning“. It is an entertaining show that we all enjoy. They were in Sacramento doing a show and we bought the boys special tickets where they got great seats and got to meet them after the show! They had a blast! David and I stayed nearby and walked Sacramento near DOCO and old Sac and had delicious drinks and dinner at Mayahuel. It was a wonderful night for us all.

Hard Candy

A new piece titled “Hard Candy” is currently on the wall of the Big Spoon Yogurt shop in Roseville. It will be there through February 2020!!

Of course, we needed to make sure this was a quality yogurt shop and tried their goods!

Hiking with Kim

Our beautiful autumn requires getting out of the city on occasion and enjoy nearby trails. My run buddy, Kim, and I decided to head out to the Buttermilk Bend Trail by Grass Valley. Unfortunately, when we got there we discovered it was closed for maintenance. A double blow was that the covered bridge that marked the trail was in complete reconstruction. So we could not enjoy that. But, we made the most of it and walked around the area, found a little family cemetery plot, saw some deer. Had brunch in Nevada City at One 11 Kitchen and Bar.

We both enjoyed our time together and look forward to more of these opportunities.

Trampoline Fun

Ryan with one of his buddies. Great exercise at the trampoline place!

Rocklin Fine Arts (I’m a member) was invited to share pieces at the Art League of Lincoln gallery for the Placer County Studio Tour. I got to show two of my pieces, “Multnomah Falls” and “As You Like It”!
