Christmas Misc.

Alex is 16!

For the annual “eat whatever you want” for breakfast…

Pizza rolls, PopTarts, cheesy Bagel, Cocoa Puffs, Grape juice, and Monster (something I never let him drink)

We took him for an hour of Virtual Reality, then to sushi.

Dessert. White cake with chocolate peanut butter frosting, of course!

Alex is…

Creative. He is often creating movies and digital graphics., sometimes alone or with a friend.

Polite. He carries himself well in public and social encounters with everyone. He is kind and respectful to strangers as well as family and friends.

Foodie. He is our adventurous eater. Always willing to try something new. He pretty much likes everything.

Debater/Negotiator. This kid can pretty much talk circles around anyone.

Funny. He’s charming, and goofy in the best way.

Loved. He is so loved. I cherish my son and I can’t believe he is already 16.

More of our ‘M’

Giant Jenga

Paul and Shannon bought the boys this game for Christmas. We had a blast playing it in the living room. We would film it falling in slow motion.

Ryan thought it would be fun to build the blocks on
Alex’s back and see how high he could go.

Look at This Face!

Our beautiful niece ‘M’ came to visit from Oakland. I can’t get enough of her. She is so squish able!

This Happy Apple was a toy of David’s when he was a baby.
It has been passed on to her.

Girl’s Day

Our annual day out together. This year was the historic part of Folsom. So many cute stores. We started with breakfast, shopped all day, then dinner. Special memories and conversations to cherish.

Ragnar After Party

Our team gathered for a fun night of reconnecting and enjoying a potluck appetizer/cocktail party. We went to Monda’s house. Monda decorates her house for Christmas to a degree hardly anyone has ever seen. It takes her about a month to do it all. Every single room is fully decorated. Every. single. room. She has multiple Christmas trees, as well as multiple Christmas villages. To say it’s amazing is an understatement.

Denise made us our own custom wine glasses!
Melissa had these yummy cookies made!

A sampling of Monda’s lovely decorations. Why yes. That is a Christmas tree in the bathroom!

Celebrating with the “Dirty Whitney” (an inside joke)
I don’t recall everything in it, but there was kahlua, frangelico, bailey’s, whipped cream, and cocoa powder

I got the new iPhone something something that has a Portrait feature on their camera. A friend of mine has it and I loved how her photos turned out. Here’s a sampling with my two handsome young men.

Alex (Alejucho) is 16 (or almost 16) here
Ryan (RyGuy/RyRy) is 14

Visit with Grandpa

I have been incredibly blessed to have my Grandpa Jerry alive and doing well all these years. He is now in his mid-90’s, still lives on his own. He has a condo in the same building as my aunt and uncle.

I flew up to Seattle to spend a few days with him, as well as visit with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. I stayed on my cousin terry’s boat which is moored right next door to the condos.

The view where Terry is moored.

One of my favorite thing to do with my Grandpa is play cribbage. We were able to play many games together.

Oh, how I love him!

He also shows me a book he had about one of his (it’s either uncle or cousin)…

My aunt let me use her kitchen to make a bunch of freezer meals for him. They are easy heat and eat meals. I wish I were closer to do this for him more often.

An extra bonus was that I got to celebrate “nephew” (Terry’s son) Henry’s 13th birthday!!
