We have two puppies, a boy and a girl. The boy adores David. He looks lovingly at him often, and follows him. It is the sweetest thing.

Our homeschool group went on a field trip to a local art gallery. The docent did a great job of teaching the kids how to look at art with a critical eye, instead of just the casual glance. She also taught them the difference between “arts and crafts”. There was a terrific variety art pieces.
This is a Girl Scouts Brownie uniform with an elongated tie. Embroidered on the tie were girls performing the tasks that are required to earn their badges.
The kids made a woven paper mat…
I aske the boys to show me their favorite art piece. ‘A’ chose this table…
‘R’ picked this quilt that is a collage of words that make a statement about fast food.

The daughter of my friend, Bev, is getting married and I attended Emily’s shower. It was probably one of the most beautiful showers I have ever attended!
A special beverage named the “Emily Claire”…ice, seltzer water, ginger, mint, and agave nectar!
Table decor. burlap, flowers, eucalyptus, brass candlesticks…
Lunch consisted of a variety of soups, fruit kebabs, potstickers, panini sandwiches, cake.
The mantel had pictures of the lovely couple…
We wrote our name one a Jenga piece, then a piece of advice on the other side. We all took turns sharing our pieces out loud….
Pictures of Emily as a child…
This was a party favor. So sweet. We all picked a key and wore as a necklace to affirm that Jesus is the key to a happy marriage.
Precious mom Bev, and daughter/bride, Emily…
The groom, Gunnar, surprised Emily with a documentary video he created talking about how much he loved Emily. It was so sweet and a great way to end the shower.

Our running club (Moms Run This Town), had an amazing trail run. We started when it was still dark, but within a mile, the sun came up. This was a four mile run. At 2.5 miles, I lost my footing on the muddy trail, and twisted my ankle. I was able to “shake it off” and keep running. It was sore, but no limping.
After the main group run, many splintered off to run additional miles. The four of us tacked on an additional 4.5 miles for a total of 8.5 miles. My ankle was still sore, but the run felt great!
I was stunned when I got home and after removing my socks, discovered this…
Ooops. Apparently I sprained it. RICE’d it for the rest of the week.

Bayside church puts on an incredible Christmas Eve service that begins earlier in the month. They have between 1-3 service a day, up through Christmas Eve. This year, their special guest artist was William Close, the man who invented the “Earth Harp” and made the finals of ‘America’s Got Talent’. It was a powerful, evening full of worship and a beautiful message of God’s love and grace.
