We are blessed with amazing next door neighbors. We both watch each others animals when we travel.

A few nights ago, this was outside in their backyard, pointed toward our house.  Our homes are separated by a rod iron fence. The girl, ‘M’, wrote this “thank you” note to us…

Run to Remember 5K

After a break of about two years of consistent running, along with months of recovery from three separate injuries, I finally was able to get back to running enough to where I could run a 5K fun run!

I was pretty content with this being the first time result to launch from.

My fellas joined me for moral support.  It was a nice morning, although the smoke for area fires cut the attendance down quite a bit due to poor air quality.

Confucius Quote

“To put the world in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must cultivate our personal life; and to cultivate our personal life, we must first set our hearts right.”

WE HAVE PUPPIES!

Puppies!! Cute, little teacup Yorkshire Terriers! Meet Allie, the little girl with ‘R’, and Austin, the little boy with ‘A’. 12 weeks old.
We have entered the world of sleep deprivation, and potty training, again!

They are awesome little bundles of joy…

FWIW, our cat is 15 pounds…he has been amazing with the puppies.  I think he knows they are babies.

Can you tell the boys are excited?

This is such a great picture for us.  This is our pastor from when we lived in Washington state.  He now works at Mt. Hermon, the camp we attend for Family Camp!  It is three hours from our home.  We love having him and his wife so near!

I wish I had caught more photos, but we were having too much fun having fun! We had three other families attend with us.  It was a precious time.  Can’t wait until next year!

Crazy Clouds

DH traveled to Detroit for a convention, traveling through Chicago.  There was a crazy storm through Chicago that grounded planes and delayed flights. DH missed his connecting flight, but they were able to get him to his destination that same night.  Here is a photo of some of the clouds he encountered while in the air…

Idaho Summer 2016

Grandpa Randy and Grandma Margaret’s house was a tween boys dream this year.  Grandpa brought out his homemade bows and arrows and the boys got to practice archery, (along with dramatic deaths…).  They also got to set up a tipi and sleep outside while we were there!IMG_0150 IMG_0154 IMG_0157 IMG_0158 IMG_0164 IMG_0169 IMG_0178

One our trip back to Seattle, we had dinner at our friends, Scott and Liann.  Stopped by Snoqualmie Falls to see how they are running during this hot summer….

We have a tradition of having a family weekend over the 4th of July at Lake Chelan in WA state.  It includes a themed costume party based on a state.  This year’s was ‘Washington’!

Due to an incredible warm summer, the lake was the perfect temperature.  Refreshingly cool, but not cold.  Here is DH and ‘A’ in the lake…

First stop on our annual WA/ID summer trip was to visit my family on my Dad’s side.  My uncle Bob and auntie DeeDee hosted an amazing dinner (the halibut filet was the size of a decorative pillow!) at their condo.  These are views from their property.  It was a gorgeous evening, and a sweet time reconnecting with family.
