Palm Springs

I drove to Palm Springs to help Michelle finish closing down her mom’s house. She did not fly in until late in the evening, so I decided to drive down early and spend the day with my Aunt Annie and Uncle Art. We enjoyed some catch up time, then picked up takeout and then Annie and I went to an evening church healing service. Short but sweet time.

Michelle and I worked hard to pack up and close out her mom’s house. On the final night, we spent the night in downtown Palm Springs and enjoyed walking around. I dropped her at the airport the next morning and headed home.

Country Line Dancing

A fun new activity with friends! Great exercise, and learning something new is always good for the brain. Having a blast with friends from different circles…

Halloween

Auntie Shell was not able to join this year. She needed to help move her mom. Alex helped scare people over at neighbor Dee’s house. Ryan stayed home with C*v!d. Alex helped decorate. Another fun turnout!

Ironman Aid Station

I have much satisfaction in running races…
I also have much satisfaction in volunteering for aid stations at races…
This one today was a whole different level of incredible.
Ironman Sacramento…
Athletes began at 7:00am and have 17 hours to swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles, and run a marathon(26.2 miles)!

I was at the mile 21 run station. So incredible to witness runners still in a strong stride, and some runners having to dig deep to get it done. Grateful to get to serve alongside fellow runners who understand how significant it is to serve as we have received so much from our run community. This year’s male winner was Julian Boulain/France who finished in 8:53:21 with an average run pace of 7:05 min/mile, and female winner Liis Ranetta/Estonia who finished 9:33:50 with an average run pace of 7:13 min/mile!

Neighborhood Walk

Veg Date

David and I went into Sacramento for a lunch date at Veg and then walked around and saw murals. Delicious food and a delightful walk with my favorite fella!

Eagle Fang

I had purchased Ryan a tshirt with Eagle Fang on it (TV show Cobra Kai reference). It turned out to be a youth tee, so I ended up sewing it on to a pillow instead!

Run/Walk Time

Some ran, some walked, some ran and walked. Always a good time!
