We try to go every Tuesday morning…..love it…
Some interesting finds….I am posting to late to recall what the squash item is. The other items are the unripe/ripe versions of the jujube.

Our friends, Justin and Kristine, headed to the Bay Area for the day. We watched three of their four kids and had a good time together.
First stop….Miner’s Ravine. The drought has made this creek very shallow compared to how it typically is this time of year.
Some chalk art and gymnastics with our neighbor friend…
Battle on the golf course….
Picnic dinner….
…and it’s 3D movie time! We watched UP…

Happy birthday to one of the most precious, wonderful, sweetest people I know! We enjoyed a delicious meal at Zocalos in Sacramento.
We met Eric and Crystal on our very first day moving to Sacramento. What was seemingly bad luck (I blew out my tire, and we missed our deadline to get the keys for our apartment), turned out to be a gift from God, (we stopped at a Starbucks to get on their wifi and find a place for the night.). We met Eric and Crystal there, and have become family.

The boys and I participated in a wonderful service project recently. Move America forward is an organization dedicated to providing care packages to soldiers located overseas. We teamed up with other homeschool volunteers to complete packing and preparing boxes for shipment. They appreciated our assistance and we even made it onto their website! Check it out at
Www.moveamericaforward.org
we treated ourselves to lunch at Farrell’s after. (Yes, Farrell’s! We have one here, can you believe it?..)

…is the largest mammal in existence. Up to 100 feet in length! The boys took chalk and measured the length of a whale, on the sidewalk.
A few facts about the blue whale…
…a baby can crawl through their arteries…
…their heart is the size of a VW bug…
…a baby whale is the length of two minivans…
The last photo you can see the boys at each end of the whale. Actually the van is obscuring the tip…
